Food-label clarity, in your pocket
Daleel is a halal food scanner. Photograph the ingredients panel and see every ingredient’s source, standing and reason, with a Halal, Doubtful or Haram ruling.
No account, no sign-up, no email.

A ruling, not a guess.
What the scanner can know
Product databases miss local releases and formulas change between countries. Daleel starts with the label in your hand, shows what it found, and names what still needs verification.
One photo of the ingredients panel is enough. Daleel reads that package without needing a barcode record.
A product sold in another country may use different ingredients. Check the exact pack you intend to buy.
Terms such as E471, enzymes, gelatin, and natural flavor can need supplier evidence or halal certification. Those cases stay Doubtful.

Read the guide →Three rulings, your positions
Every ingredient on the panel has a permissible source in the register.
An ingredient's source is not stated, so Daleel tells you what to ask.
An ingredient with a forbidden source is printed on the panel.
Where scholars differ, both rulings are shown until you choose your position.
How it works
One photo of the ingredients panel. No barcode needed.
The panel is transcribed and each ingredient's source is classified against Daleel's register of 47 additives and ingredients.
Every ingredient in printed order, with its source, standing and reason. The ruling is worked out on your phone.
Made for the aisle moment
Daleel turns dense ingredient language into a calm, transparent answer, then shows you exactly why.
The exact uncertainty is surfaced instead of buried in a paragraph.
An unstated source stays Doubtful. Where scholars differ, you see both rulings.
Put a doubtful ingredient to the manufacturer with a drafted email.
Ingredient-by-ingredient

Can be plant- or animal-derived; the source is not stated.
Origin and carrier are unspecified. Verify with the manufacturer.
The assistant

“If the source is not stated, treat it as doubtful and verify—do not guess.”

Our approach
Daleel (دليل, “the evidence”) rules from its own register of 47 additives and ingredients and shows the reason for each one. It distinguishes clear prohibition from genuine doubt, and leaves the questions scholars differ on to you.
A product is not marked Haram without clear visible evidence of a forbidden source.
Ambiguous sources are marked Doubtful, with a specific prompt to verify the source or seek certification.
On five questions scholars differ on, both rulings are shown until you choose. Your choice stays on your phone.
Informational guidance, not a fatwa. Labels can be incomplete and ingredient sources can change. Verify doubtful ingredients with the manufacturer or a trusted halal certifier, and consult a knowledgeable scholar for a binding personal ruling.
Frequently asked
A scanner can only assess the evidence it can read. Daleel reads the exact ingredients panel you photograph and shows every ingredient with its source, standing and reason. If a source is not stated, the ingredient is marked Doubtful instead of guessed.
It does not need to be. Daleel does not scan barcodes or look products up. You take one photo of the ingredients panel, so it reads the package in your hand, including local or newly reformulated products.
Yes. Brands can use different formulas, suppliers, or labeling language across markets. Scan the exact package you plan to buy and check its country, ingredient list, and halal certification rather than relying on another region's result.
No. Daleel provides informational, label-based guidance. It is not a fatwa and does not replace a qualified scholar, manufacturer confirmation, or trusted halal certification.
Some ingredients—such as unspecified gelatin, enzymes, glycerides, natural flavours, or certain E-numbers—can come from permissible or impermissible sources. When the label does not identify the source, the app marks it Doubtful and can draft an email asking the manufacturer.
Five questions are left to you: seafood other than fish, insect colourings (E120), shellac (E904), trace alcohol as a carrier, and animal rennet. Until you choose a position, Daleel shows both rulings. Change a position later and past readings in your notebook are re-ruled.
No. There is no account, no sign-up, and no email. Your notebook and position choices are stored only on your phone.
